Wolf Gas Ranges, Sub Zero Appliances, Viking Gas Ranges and more…
Your major kitchen appliances are investments. You want them running the right way for as long as possible, which means that you need to clean them regularly so residue, dust, and food scraps don’t build up and ruin them. There are specific things you should know when cleaning these appliances so that you don’t actually damage them with chemicals or equipment.
Major kitchen appliances like the stove or oven are best cleaned with a wet towel or towelette. You can use a light dab of soap for sanitizing but avoid any flammable sprays. Wipe the interior and exterior of the stove hood and oven regularly. Every few days you should wipe off the grease and food residue. Be sure you get in any of the vents too. Do not clean charcoal filters, nor should you ever use abrasives or powdered cleansers.
Dishwashers can be cleaned with baking soda for smudges on the exterior or lining. It can also be used to deodorize it if you put a few small tablespoons of it to sit overnight and then be cleaned out in the next wash cycle.
These are easy ways to keep the appliances functioning without causing harm to them or their machinery.
